Evidence Based Practice (EBP) is challenging for busy clinicians of all levels of experience. This talk is designed to reach novices to experts by focusing on EBP through the lens of efficiency. This occupational therapy professional development course will review the basic fundamentals for EPB, help participants strategically plan professional growth, and share tips and tricks to make EPB more efficient for the busy OT practitioner!

Learning objectives
Upon completion of this occupational therapy continuing education course, the learner will be able to:
  • understand the need for research evidence for sound clinical reasoning in OT clinical practice.

  • differentiate between various critical appraisal forms matching research designs to evaluate the quality and rigor of evidence. 
  • identify EBP technology assists to manage time effectively.
  • classify a research question into an effective search strategy.

  • View course videos in entirety
  • Pass the course exam with a score of 80% or greater
