This occupational therapy continuing education course will include a look into occupational deprivation and occupational disruption. The effects occupational deprivation may have on individuals, groups, and populations and what is the role of the OT practitioner in a pandemic. A discussion to include potential OT strategies in relation to occupational deprivation.

  • Participants will be able to differentiate between occupational deprivation and occupational disruption

  • Participants will be able to identify potential effects of occupational deprivation

  • Participants will be able to identify the role of occupational therapy practitioners during a pandemic
  • Participants will be able to identify occupational therapy strategies in relations to occupational deprivation

  • Pass the course exam with a score of 80% or greater
