Breastfeeding is a co-occupation in the parent-baby dyad. In this course, you will learn about the occupational therapist’s role in lactation. This course includes an overview of the basics of lactation physiology to lay a foundational knowledge for OT practitioners interacting with perinatal dyads in a variety of settings. This course will also include resources for therapists interested in pursuing further knowledge in this specialty. **Instructor embraces inclusivity for all chestfeeding/bodyfeeding parents, while often referring to mother/breastfeeding terminology, as that is preferred by most clients in her population.
