What types of events qualify for AOTA approved co-sponsorship? 

AOTA allows Approved Sponsors to assign AOTA CEUs to live professional development activities / continuing education events that provide education for OT practitioners.  This would include conferences, live workshops and live webinars. 

Can Aspire OT work with me to assign AOTA CEUs for a self-paced course? 

Unfortunately not if the course will offered online indefinitely. Internet enduring professional development activities/continuing education courses do not qualify for the assignment of AOTA CEUs through co-sponsorship.  If the recorded course will be available for a short period of time, it may qualify.

Can Aspire OT work with me to assign AOTA CEUs for courses that lead to certification?

Unfortunately no.  Courses that lead to certification are not eligible for co-sponsorship.

What types of organizations can Aspire OT work with to assign AOTA CEUs for qualifying live events? 

Aspire OT can work with small or large businesses, non-profit organizations or associations to assign AOTA CEUs for qualifying continuing education events / professional development activities that are relevant to the practice of occupational therapy.

How does a conference, workshop or webinar qualify for the assignment of AOTA CEUs?  

A conference, workshop or webinar must meet the AOTA Approved Provider Program Guidelines and Criteria to be assigned AOTA CEUs.  As an Approved Sponsor, Aspire OT will work with you to ensure that your event meets the guidelines and criteria. 

What is the process for co-sponsoring my event with Aspire OT? 

The first step is to set up a quick meeting and discuss your event to determine if it will be eligible for the assignment of AOTA CEUs.  You can schedule a meeting.  Click here to schedule.

If the event is eligible, Aspire OT will then send you a proposal that will include the responsibilities that your organization and Aspire OT will have in order to ensure that the event meets the AOTA Approved Provider Program Guidelines. 

What are the fees for the Aspire OT co-sponsorship program. 

It is important to us that we are transparent with our fees.  

Aspire OT partners with organizations to support the development of high-quality professional development activities that align with AOTA continuing education requirements. Our co-sponsorship partnerships are designed to provide the appropriate level of guidance, compliance support, educational consultation, and occupational therapy-specific oversight based on your organization’s experience and infrastructure.
Whether your organization already has an established continuing education program or is developing educational offerings for the first time, Aspire OT provides expert guidance throughout the co-sponsorship process.

Tier 1 — Standard Co-Sponsorship Partnership
The Standard Co-Sponsorship Partnership is designed for organizations with established continuing education infrastructure and prior experience administering professional development activities.
Ideal For:
• Organizations already accredited through another CE provider
• Healthcare organizations with established CE policies and procedures
• Organizations experienced in continuing education administration
• Organizations utilizing occupational therapy practitioners in course development or presentation
Services Include:
• Organizational eligibility review
• Standard compliance and documentation review
• Professional development activity review
• AOTA application creation and submission
• Standard co-sponsorship guidance
• Record maintenance support

• Small therapy practices
• Organizations developing CE infrastructure
• Organizations with OT practitioner presenters and content developers

• First-time CE providers without established CE infrastructure and without occupational therapy practitioner presenters or content developers
Services Include:
• Expanded eligibility and compliance review
• Extensive policy and procedure consultation
• OT-specific content and terminology review and guidance

After the fees are paid, does Aspire OT charge for a portion of the registration fees? 

Nope!  We only charge the flat fees.  We want to help your event be an educational as well as financial success! You will only have to pay us a flat fee.  

I am planning to host a live summit online, what would the average fees be for this? 

In most cases, a live summit would qualify as one event and the following fees would be charged if there were 5 sessions offered and 100 certificates issued:

Engagement/ Retainment fee: $400
AOTA Initial Approved Sponsor PD Activity Fee $175 (this is paid to AOTA).
Aspire OT Application Processing fee: $100
Session Review / Compliance Fee: $250
100 certificates issued: $50


Total: $975
