This session explores key areas where AI is transforming healthcare operations from clinical documentation to predictive analytics and real-time patient monitoring.

Attendees will gain practical insight into how AI scribes, automated scheduling systems, and risk prediction tools are already supporting care delivery across disciplines. The session will also examine ethical considerations such as privacy, transparency, and equity in AI adoption.

Robert Richards
IOTA Guest Instructor

After graduating from the University of Delaware, Robert began his career as a Financial Advisor before transitioning into home care, where he contributed to the growth of a friend’s agency. Later, he joined a regional home care company and led his office to become the fastest-growing location out of 300. With the increasing need for senior care, he focused on consulting with Assisted Living Facilities and Home Care Agencies to achieve their desired outcomes. Most recently, as Director of Operations for a national home care agency, he helped create the structure and procedures that enabled them to nearly double the number of clients served in under two years. Robert’s goal is to help seniors age safely in their homes for as long as possible, and his greatest achievement is raising his son as a single father. Caring for others is his passion!

Amanda Armstrong

As the Director of Sunlight Senior Care Des Moines, Amanda is excited to make a difference for both the clients and the Sunlight Senior Care team. Her goal is to keep clients safely in their homes for as long as possible while continuing to build relationships with them. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys a wonderful life with her fiancé and two children, who are 7 months and 3 years old. They love engaging in family-oriented activities and creating new memories.
