There is a big need for more OT-specific continuing education courses to help occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants gain skills and tools that are applicable to their own practice area. This need was a big factor that lead Kim and I on the path to founding Aspire OT. As we worked towards launching our company, she and I have been, and still are, so focused on creating our course offerings that are relevant and affordable for OT practitioners.
So when another way to further our mission of providing high quality, OT-specific CEs became apparent, we were completely thrilled. Aspire OT had the opportunity to sit down and discuss a big need for our very own state association. The Tennessee Occupational Therapy Association had been offering CEs at conference and at district meetings for many years. Recently, they have branched out to live webinars, but they were searching for a way to allow greater access to the CE courses for the practitioners in the state of Tennessee. Kim and I couldn’t wait to sit down, brainstorm, and find a solution for TNOTA.
That path lead us to announce today that Aspire OT will be partnering with TNOTA so that the association can offer online CEs created by TNOTA that can be taken any time that is convenient for OT practitioners. This will be a great added value to all practitioners in Tennessee, but especially for TNOTA members because TNOTA courses will be provided at a discount or even free for members.
As part of this partnership, we will also be offering TNOTA members 10% off all our Aspire OT courses.
Occupational therapy practitioners already have enough to deal with as payment changes have rocked many folks world. As we hear that many practitioners have had hours cut or even lost their jobs, this partnership with TNOTA will provide affordable options for CEs that are relevant to practice. Access will be easy too. Just head over to the TNOTA website at www.TNOTA.org. Starting February 17th, you will be able to view courses and through our easy interface be taking the course in less than 5 minutes from the comfort of your own home.
