This presentation will discuss in detail the neuroscience of anxiety (whether it is amygdala or cortex based), current evidence-based treatment strategies such as CBT/exposure therapy/exercise/yoga/deep breathing, and understanding occupational therapy's role in addressing anxiety through the use of occupations/routines/habits. The presenter will utilize the following teaching/learning strategies: PPT, case studies, direct exploration of interventions, and pre/post surveys (direct measure of participant learning).
