This webinar will be held on Zoom.

Do you ever feel like you want to do more than treat the symptoms of chronic disease? What if you could help clients not just manage their conditions, but actively move toward higher levels of health and well-being?

This course provides occupational therapy practitioners with a complete roadmap of the health coaching process—your guide to understanding exactly how to coach clients from first session to lasting health behavior change. Unlike other introductions that simply define coaching, this course shows you the systematic structure that successful coaches use and reveals when and where to apply specific coaching skills throughout the entire client journey.

You'll gain an insider's view of coaching from start to finish: how coaches prepare for sessions, what happens during first meetings, how to structure follow-up conversations that drive change, and how to conclude coaching relationships in ways that support lasting independence. But here's what makes this course unique: we don't just tell you what coaching is—we show you how it works by mapping out exactly which coaching tools and techniques are used at each phase of the process.

By following client stories through all coaching phases, you'll see how motivational interviewing builds readiness in early sessions, how values exploration creates meaningful goals, how action planning translates intention into behavior, and how positive psychology sustains momentum when challenges arise. You'll learn the art of closing sessions in ways that deepen learning and strengthen commitment.

Designed for OT practitioners specifically, this course illuminates how the client-centered, outcomes-based coaching process aligns perfectly with occupational therapy philosophy. You'll discover how coaching conversations support the health behaviors (sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress management) that enable occupational engagement—complementing rather than replacing your occupational therapy skills.

By the end of the session, you'll have a clear mental map of the coaching journey, confidence in understanding what coaching looks like in action, and excitement about the transformative skills you're about to learn.
