Taking medications as prescribed is a critical aspect of health and functionality, yet many occupational therapy practitioners may not routinely assess medication management in their practice. In this live webinar, the second installment of our series, we aim to equip occupational therapists with the knowledge and skills needed to incorporate effective medication management assessments into their daily practice.

Medication Management Assessments:

This webinar will provide an overview of assessments to be considered, Home-RX, Performance Assessment of Self-Care Skills Medication Management Subtest and Executive Function Performance Test Medication Management Subtest.

Case Studies and Practical Applications:

  • Practical application examples across the continuum of care to demonstrate how best to select and implement an assessment battery that is appropriate to the client and the setting.
  • Reflection questions will be utilized to facilitate participants to consider what changes they can make to their clinical practice to better evaluate medication management.

Course Series:

This course is the second in a series.  The first course, "Occupational Therapy's Role in Medication Management & Adherence," is not a prerequisite for participation in this webinar.

Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students.

This occupational therapy continuing education course uses the following instructional methods: visual aides (ie slides), discussion board, guided note taking, and learning, and practice opportunities.
