This webinar will be held on Zoom.

This course is an intermediate course recommended for learners who have foundational knowledge of dyslexia.

Move beyond reading scores and discover how occupational therapy can transform participation, confidence, and success for children with dyslexia. In this dynamic and practice-focused course, occupational therapy practitioners will learn how to connect assessment findings to meaningful, occupation-based interventions that support academic performance and everyday function. Explore the critical role of executive cognitive functions, including visual perceptual skills, visual-motor integration, and memory systems, in reading and learning, while gaining practical strategies you can immediately implement in clinical and school-based settings. Using the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework (OTPF-4) and the Integrated Learning Occupational Therapy Framework (ILOTF), participants will develop effective treatment plans that bridge the gap between evaluation and intervention. Leave with evidence-informed tools, creative intervention ideas, and greater confidence in helping children with dyslexia thrive at home, in school, and within their communities.

Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students

This occupational therapy continuing education course uses the following instructional methods: visual aides (ie slides), discussion board, guided note taking, and learning, and practice opportunities.
