Participants will be provided an overview of pelvic health therapy and the unique, important lens of occupational therapy in this setting. Attendees interested in pelvic health therapy will be provided a brief overview of the anatomy of the female pelvic floor, assessment, interventions, and common impairments/populations served. The presentation will include brief overview of how to “get into” pelvic floor therapy, but interventions related to the pelvic floor (e.g. toileting ergonomics, adaptive equipment, behavioral modifications) will be reviewed that are important and applicable for all settings throughout the continuum of care.
