During this hands-on, self-paced, virtual course, practitioners will develop a basic understanding of the fascia and its powerful influence on all the body systems, and in turn how the fascia influences health and function.

Occupational therapy practitioners will have the opportunity to experience the principles of myofascial release in the context of self-care. The evidence supports myofascial self-care as a method to address many health and wellness issues in the occupational therapy scope of practice including managing acute and chronic pain, improving balance, improving proprioception and interoception, increasing mobility, and increasing overall well-being.

Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students
