The need for mental health services continues to increase and can impact occupational engagement and performance. Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants are perfectly trained to address this need.
As OT practitioners, we know that mental health treatment is more than just working toward symptom management. It requires psychological flexibility, clarity of values and a supportive lifestyle.
In this presentation, Stephen Nawotniak, OTR/L, NYCPS will present tools that can be used within the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework, 4th Edition (OTPF 4) while incorporating the perspective of his lived experience.
This occupational therapy CEU course will provide practical strategies and interventions that can be applied to mental health needs no matter the practice setting.
This course is targeted at occupational therapy assistants and occupational therapists.
