Aspire OT is always excited to celebrate OTs, OTAs, and students who make an impact.
This time we are recognizing Founding Partners, Kimberly Breeden and Niccole Rowe.
Aspire OT proudly sat among the distinguished businesses recognized at the Belmont University 2023 Entrepreneur Awards, a celebration honoring the achievements of the Top 100 Alumni Entrepreneurs of 2023. This accolade pays tribute to their exceptional hard work, innovation, and leadership in the field.
Kimberly Breeden, MS, OTR/L, and one of the founding partners of Aspire OT, graduated from the Belmont University Master of Occupational Therapy program in 2014. Reflecting on her transformative experience, Kim describes her time at Belmont as "life-changing" and credits the MSOT program with altering the trajectory of her career, reigniting her passion for occupational therapy.
Niccole Rowe, BA, COTA, another founding partner, expressed her admiration for Belmont University's emphasis on the importance of organizations making a positive impact on communities. She highlighted that Aspire OT was founded with a mission beyond financial success, and it was encouraging to see their efforts recognized by the university.
The inception of Aspire OT in 2019 was a response to the identified need for affordable continuing education tailored for occupational therapy practitioners. In 2020, Aspire OT created a custom solution to support state occupational therapy associations in providing quality continuing education to their members through the State Association Partnership Program. Niccole, who heads the program, emphasized their gratitude for the opportunity to support state associations that work tirelessly to advocate and advance the profession.
Since its establishment, Aspire OT has grown significantly, boasting 18 instructors with plans for further expansion in 2024. The launch of the Just for OT Subscription in 2023 has successfully created a community where OTs, OTAs, and students can learn and support each other.
The awards ceremony at Belmont University served as a fitting conclusion to 2023 for Aspire OT. Kim summarized the experience as "surreal," expressing gratitude for being accepted into the Belmont program and returning as a recognized entrepreneur. She credited Belmont University for providing the training and skills that have played a pivotal role in her post-graduation success.
Aspire OT was not the sole OT practitioner-owned organization honored at the Belmont Entrepreneur awards. The Belmont University School of Occupational Therapy was also represented by Whitney Joy Sanford of Aspire Therapies, LLC, Jennifer Pacileo of Southern Pediatric Therapy, and Jenny Owens of Reboot Recovery, showcasing the collective excellence within the occupational therapy community.
Congratulations to all those recognized this year as outstanding Belmont Entrepreneurs!
