Brand New Webinar
This premier offering of this webinar is being offered exclusively in the Just for OT Subscription.
Future offerings will be made available for individual purchase as well as included in the Just for OT subscription.
This webinar will be held on Zoom.
In the school setting, occupational therapy's role is to support students’ education and engagement, and education laws and regulations offer a clear framework for how occupational therapy practitioners can achieve that goal.
This course will equip occupational therapy practitioners with a deeper understanding of the laws and regulations affecting education, enabling them to take a more active role in important discussions about their students. The impact of ESSA, IDEA, ADA, and education case law on OT practice will be explored. Participants will be provided with occupation-based examples to help them apply this knowledge in their practice. Better understanding the guidelines for service provision can assist OTs, OTAs and students to incorporate occupation-based interventions throughout a student’s day.
Target Audience: Occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, occupational therapy students

OTA Course Participant for School-based Goals for OT Practitioners
" This was fantastic...clear, concise, and effective! I wish it was on a loop for me to hear going into work everyday during IEP season. I want my colleagues and admin to see this video to help support some points I've tried to make in the past when writing and collabing on goals. THANK YOU!!!"
